Kitchen Additions

First of all thank you for all your sweet comments on my last post, they are much appreciated!
Now as you know my kitchen is a work in progress, in 2011 I painted the pine cupboards, we still need to replace the laminate worktops (with lovely wooden ones hopefully)
Well in the meantime I've been doing a bit of ' prettifying'!

I bought an old shelf for £2 at Oxford market, it was pine with a green cast iron stand, but now I've revamped it.I thought it would create a bit of extra space for some of my pretties!
Pretend you can't see the ugly wire at the back!

I'm so pleased with my new radio a bargain from Sainsburys at £9.99!
Lovin the Ella Valentine egg box packaging too, so pretty. The Hubster also put up these lovely metal hooks for me too, muche needed extra space for the growing mug collection!

Hope you are all having a great week, I'm still a bit achey from 2 days solid gardening at the weekend in the goregeous sunshine!
Love it!!

Good grief, the addition of the shelf (so pretty btw) as an extra display surface on the worktop is a genius idea. I could do with several of those to house my unfeasibly large collection of jars!

Blimey, the radio is a brilliant buy for £9.99. I don't suppose it's digital...Controversial, I know, but I do like a diggie radio.

What a brilliant idea! I love it. Now wondering where I could a) get a shelf and b) where I could put it on the worktop!

Its coming along nicely!! Thats a good idea - using normal hook rack for cups! I keep meaning to get cup hooks to put on my dresser shelves....but that is a good idea too.

Great bargain on the radio. I wonder if there are any at my local branch :)

Ditto what everybody says about adding a shelf. Makes such a difference. Definitely need something like that for my kitchen too.

I meant to ask, was this a wall shelf that has the brackets turned round or a shelf for the counter? I love this idea so much I need it in my own kitchen but dont know how :D xx
