Blooms and Graduation!

At the weekend we went on a little jaunt to Brighton for our daughter's Graduation on Monday morning! We all had a lovely time and we are so very proud of her!
Her outfit matched the cloak beautifully, a coincidence as she was going to wear a different dress!
We took lots of photos in the Pavilion gardens too!
There  were smiles all around all day!
The Hat toss!

That's the back of me in the spotty top and Carianne looking very Harry Potteresque!
We went for a lovely long lunch at a Mexican restaurant and we had cocktails to celebrate too!

Back home now and I have been pottering in the garden, the first photo at the top of this post is a Rose that I've been waiting to bloom for ages, such a pretty red!

I'm so pleased that my toms are finally growing too!
I bought these pretty perennials at the boot a few weeks ago, does anyone know what these are called please?  I haven't got a clue!
Thank you so much for the bunting love in the last post, you make my day you really do!
Have a great week, lets hope the sun keeps shining!

Congratulations to your lovely daughter...she is a beauty! Very pretty dress!

I envy your tomatoes! Mine are still just little flowers, I planted them a bit late. The perennial flowers look to be some sort of mum...not sure, but they are beautiful! Hope you are having a wonderful summer, Rachel!

XO,
Jane

Your rose is beautiful - aren't the perennials marigolds?

Congratulations to your daughter!

I'm not sure how big the yellow flowers are from the photo, but it might be a Coreopsis.

Congratulations to you and your daughter, I'm not surprised you are so proud. Been looking through your last few posts, what a lot of lovely creativity you have. Gorgeous.

The yellow flowers look like marigolds to me, there are so many varieties though such as calendula. What ever they are, they are pretty!

The yellow flowers could be coreopsis or tagetes - the leaves help in identification.

Looks like you had a fun day.

Hello Rachel,

Congratulations to your lovely daughter! What a proud day that must have been.
I believe the flower is coreopsis grandiflora.

Best wishes, Mary

I think your flower is coreopsis.

Congratulations to your daughter (and to you for getting her through it!). The rose next to the colour of your shed looks gorgeous. I think the yellow one is a coreopsis.
