My Beautiful Summerhouse

Last July I left my job in a local Pre-school to set up my own business and craft full time.I decided to buy a small summerhouse with my final months salary and found one on the Internet at a bargain price!Unfortunately my husband wasn't so keen on the idea"Why do you need a summerhouse?"Well,Of course I don't NEED one but I really would like one!"Anyway I ordered it and it arrived.Next problem,1 summerhouse in pieces + Hubby in Mexico (working) for 3 weeks = No summerhouse for rest of summer(probably)Luckily for me I have a very talented sister that offered to come and help me HURRAY!! She is a little treasure, she came to stay for two days with her three children.I cleared the ground and she laid 28 slabs and I laid 2,I wasn't being lazy, I'm just not very good at laying slabs. Then we started to erect the thing which was a bit scary but we kept checking the instructions and it all went well .By the end of the first evening we had a floor and four walls, we put the garden bench inside just to test it and sat under the stars drinking tea and giggling our heads off as siblings do when they're together! We were not looking forward to putting the roof on the next day, but luckily my brother in law came to visit and as he built his own house extension, a little summerhouse was no problem!" We only popped in for a cuppa"he said.I bribed him with fish and chips, works every time! I am now the proud owner of a beautiful summerhouse thanks to my wonderful family!

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogs, and what a great start you've made!

I'd love to see a picture of the front of your summerhouse as the inside looks gorgeous! We only have a small garden but I'd love to have one at the bottom (behind the sandpit and climbing frame). I have visions of having my sewing machine down there and escaping to craft to my hearts content - chances of that = nil!!

I'll be back very soon, looking forward to the next post!
